Mary Kay Fink - flute

Mary Kay FinkFlutist Mary Kay Fink has been the Cleveland Orchestra piccoloist since 1990. She received her Bachelor of Music degree of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School. In 1986 she won the National Flute Association Young Artist Competition and gave her formal debut recital in 1987 at Carnegie Recital Hall. She has appeared as a soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, The New Jersey Symphony, the Bismark Symphony, the Madison Symphony, and as a youth soloist with the Milwaukee Symphony. Her most recent appearance with the Cleveland Orchestra featured her as a soloist in Bruce Braughton's Concerto for Piccolo and Orchestra, Formerly, Ms. Fink was a member of the New Jersey Symphony, the New York Philharmonic (one season), and the Madison Symphony, and served on the faculty of the University of Madison, Wisconsin and Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, OH. She can be heard on O.O. disks performing with flutist Robert Dick. She frequently appears in solo and chamber music concerts in the Cleveland area, often performing on baroque traverso. Her former teachers include Robert Willoughby, Paula Robison, Julius Baker, Robert Dick, and Robert Cole. Ms. Fink teaches flute and piccolo at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
